Taking Over

Yarn is taking over our house. Heh. This month so far I've knit four hats and a spare set of wrist warmers, I just started a fifth hat, and I'm in the middle of a lace scarf (ran out of yarn) and a baby blanket (need to get yarn for that too. Drat). I also have one more scarf, an extra cool hat and two undetermined projects to do this month. At least one of my loverly friends on Ravelry is sending me more yarn, too. That should be here today or tomorrow. I think everyone is getting hats and stuff for Christmas. Or maybe hat and scarf sets.

Had a blonde moment this morning. We were expecting to get paid today, but I forgot that last week was my waiting week for my new unemployment claim, so there are no dollars for us this week. If someone would come look for my body in a few days, I'm sure Shady will kill me for my nicotine content if I don't figure out a way to get some money for smokes and gas and mailing packages that were supposed to go out a week ago. But at least it's little stuff, since rent and the electric bill have just both been paid. And we just got our food money for the month, so we're ok there too. I just hope Christina doesn't decide to come this week, or I'll have to pimp myself out for gas money for the trip.

Did I mention I got a job, but it doesn't start until September? H&D called the other day about the interview I went to a couple weeks ago, and I got on the QA team! Woohoo! Even if the pay isn't any different (which it should be) "Quality Assurance" are words that look good on a resume. So I start that September 8th.
